Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Tar 32 app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Alexander Halkias (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as an Ad Supported service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
Your device's Internet Protocol address (IP address)
The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and time spent on those pages
The operating system you use on your mobile device
2. User-Generated Content (UGC): The Application collects and stores content you create to facilitate social interaction. This includes:
Social Data: Posts, comments, and community descriptions stored via Firebase.
Interactions: Community memberships and follower data.
Moderation Data: If you are reported or submit a report, the Application retains the relevant post, comment, or community metadata for review by moderators to ensure a safe environment.
3. Identity and Age Verification
The Application utilizes third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, specifically through Didit, to perform age estimation and identity verification. For a better experience and to comply with legal requirements, the Service Provider may require you to provide:
Contact/ID Data: Email address, User ID, Age/Date of Birth, and Government-issued ID details (Document Number/Nationality).
Biometric Data: Facial Geometry and Liveness checks (Selfies/Video).
Technical Data: Device Identifiers (AAID/IDFA), IP Address.
4. Account Deletion: You may delete your account at any time through the Application settings. Upon deletion, your personal profile, posts, and community posts are removed from our active databases.
RESIDUAL DATA: Please note that some non-identifying data, such as system notifications (e.g., "A user followed you") and created communities, may persist on our servers for technical integrity and safety purposes. This data is no longer linked to your identity once your account is deleted. This action is permanent and data cannot be recovered or downloaded once the deletion is processed. Reports or moderation logs involving your account may be retained for safety and legal compliance.
5. Third-Party Data: For data collected by third-party services like AdMob, you can exercise your right to data deletion by resetting or deleting your device's Advertising ID through your mobile device settings or by managing your data via your Google Account "My Activity" page.
6. Biometric Information Privacy (BIPA & US State Laws)
The Service Provider, through the third-party processor Didit, collects and processes biometric identifiers and information (facial geometry) for the strictly necessary purpose of age verification and fraud prevention, and we do not use it for any other purposes.
Consent: By using the verification feature, you provide your express written consent for the collection and processing of your biometric data.
Retention: Biometric data is processed temporarily for verification. The Service Provider does not store your biometric data on its own servers. Didit retains this data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the verification purpose or as required by law, after which it is permanently deleted.
Disclosure: We do not sell, lease, or trade your biometric data.
7. Third Party Access
The Application utilizes third-party services for analytics and identity verification. While analytics data is aggregated and anonymized, services like Didit collect and process sensitive personal and biometric information specifically to verify if your 18 or older. The Application utilizes the following third-party services:
Google Play Services (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
AdMob (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
Google Analytics for Firebase (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
Didit (Identity Provider): Didit collects and processes biometric information and IDs solely for verification. (https://didit.me/terms/privacy-policy/)
8. Opt-Out and Data Retention
You can stop all collection of information by uninstalling the Application. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, please use the in-app 'Delete Account' feature before uninstalling. If you have already uninstalled the Application and wish to have your data removed, please email lexicul30@gmail.com with your request. We will process all deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. For users in Brazil, we will respond to data access or deletion requests within 15 days, as required by the LGPD.
9. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction). Because the Application uses age verification, any user identified as under the required age will be denied access and their data will be immediately deleted. If you believe a child has bypassed these measures, contact lexicul30@gmail.com.
10. Security
The Service Provider utilizes industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your information during transfer and secure cloud storage provided by Firebase to protect data at rest. While we take reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
11. Data Transfers: The Application is operated and supported by servers located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that the personal information we collect (including posts, profile data, and identifiers) will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States to provide the service functionality.
12. Your US State Privacy Rights: Residents of certain US states (including California, Virginia, and Colorado) have specific rights to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. The Application respects these rights by providing a consent mechanism within the app for residents of applicable states. You can also manage preferences via your device's "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Ads Personalization" (Android) settings. We do not sell your personal data for money, but we may share identifiers with ad partners for personalized advertising, which you can opt out of by using 'Limit Ad Tracking' (iOS) or 'Opt out of Ads Personalization' (Android) on your mobile device. Users in certain regions also have a opt out form to not have data collected by AdMob for personalized advertising. Residents of California have the right to limit the use of 'Sensitive Personal Information' (such as biometric data and government IDs); the Application already restricts the use of this data solely to the necessary purpose of identity and age verification. Additionally, your 'Right to Know' is not limited to a 12-month lookback; you may request access to personal information collected since January 1, 2022. The Application honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other opt-out preference signals. When you exercise your right to opt-out of targeted advertising through the in-app consent form, we provide an immediate confirmation that your request has been received and honored.
